We conduct interviews with them, and ensure that everyone has a background check, gets reference checked, and are all pre-screened so parents never have to. We want our clients to keep their focus on their growing bellies or babies are proud to support them in this way.
- We create bio’s for our clients to review of the specific expertise they are looking to hire. We then email them with all of their options so they can narrow down their choices and from there, let us know who they would like to meet for an in person or phone interview. We are much like a matchmaking service in that we really listen to our clients and who/what they really need. We dont believe one size fits all, so really treat each client as the unique person they are. We often times help them understand what they need since a lot of first time parents are not sure what to expect. Then, We connect them with their best “match” . We understand having someone in your home, caring for you and your baby during the pre and post-natal times is an intimate time in their lives and want them to feel confident and comfortable.
- The Owner, Michelle Smith is an actively working Certified postpartum doula and ICEA Postpartum approved trainer ( the only one in CA! ), writer for online birth and postpartum magazines, and with over 15 years experience she fully understands not only what the clients need, but what it really means to be a doula first hand. This makes a world of difference, because Michelle isnt just sitting behind a desk but stays current and up to date on caring for postpartum women and newborns.Clients have stated that this adds a special personal touch to their experience. It works in the reverse as well, Michelle is able to work first hand with the team of experts, being one herself – she knows what she is looking for, and steering away from.
- EB Participates consistently ( Monthly / Bi-Monthly) in charitable events as we believe giving back is vital in the world we live in. Past charitable events include raising money and participating in the March for Babies 2012, Newborn supplies donated to homeless moms with babies (May 2012) One truck load of supplies sent to a small village in Mexico full of needy families (May 2012) and most recently a large donation of supplies to the La Habra Life Center (June 2012).
- EB offers training and certification courses to Postpartum doulas to continue their education and always strive to learn and update our skills. (Our courses are taught with the ICEA postpartum program).
- EB arranges Bi-Monthly meet ups for our experts to “recharge”, get support and share experiences that we can all take with us to better our client’s experiences as they begin their journey in parenthood.
